So Much To Do

So many things have happened to me today, and it’s just been really hard to take it all in. I’m so nervous right now but also so much more excited!

I’m a part of the school choir, and we’ve been told some time at the start of the school year that a few of us would be chosen to join an “elite group”. The members of this group would learn harder songs, have more rehearsals and be expected to be fully committed to the choir. These people would also go to other parts of the country, and even other parts of the world, to perform. Awhile ago, I found out that I was part of that group! It’s amazing how excited I was (and still am)!

Aside from being a part of that group, I’m also one of the very, very few in my batch to join the advanced math class. We had our first meeting today, and it was actually kinda fun – not the math part, of course, but everything else; a few of my friends are in that class, and the teachers don’t even mind if we talk a bit since we’re so few. Since it’s a class for those who got high math grades last year, you’d expect the obnoxious, competitive students to be there, but none of them are. We’ll have to go to math contests every now and then, which I’d rather not do, but, other than that, everything’s pretty much awesome.

With all the performances, practices and contests, I’m sure there are going to be conflicts. It’s already pretty complicated, and that’s before you put in the homework, the annoying group works and, of course, this website. Honestly, I’m so happy right now that I don’t really care. I almost never scream, but I can proudly say that I screamed today. That’s how excited I was awhile ago.

Family issues can really change a person. I have a friend whose family has gone through two divorces, and she became really mean and “shovy.”
I think that I would change if my dad died. I’d probably be less loud and give up my chicken obsession.

Congrats! I have friends who had to audition to make it to this chorus trip all around the U.S., but I don’t think they’ve ever been out of the country for it.
Ugh, math. I’m in an advanced math class, too. I’m taking Gifted Accelerated Pre-Calculus next year, but Pre-Calculus is for juniors. I heard that it’s really easy, though, because it’s basically trig and algebra. I’m also going to be in Junior Gifted Language Arts. And then when I’m a junior I’m going to start to have to apply for more AP classes. I already have two next year. =/ I still wonder why I even applied for AP Government.

Oh that’s awesome! congrads! Very talented =] High school wasn’t at all bad for me (MANY good times and loads of friends that I’ll have for the rest of my life!) but idk, the atmosphere I guess. It didn’t help that I was placed in the gifted program as well lol. I only got there by mistake. Because i got sick in the 3rd grade I had to go on a field trip with the ‘gifted’ kids instead of the ‘regular’ kids and the teacher felt I had such insight for a 7 year old lol. I have a slight learning disability though so the style of APP and AP were a bad suit for me. But I always did get good grades…

So where will you be traveling too?

Congrats on making it into the elite group for your choir and into the advanced math class! Girl, you’re on fire :3 Haha both of the two, formerly mentioned, I epic fail at! But I’m sure it’ll be worth the added stress/conflict :D

Thanks for your wishes!
Aha, I used to read so much but now not as much. I really want to get back into it, and it’s cool that you do too n__n

Yeah. I know that if my mom and dad didn’t pressure me into joining clubs and applying for gifted classes, I wouldn’t be where I am in school today. My mom was also the one who got me into drawing. She bought me How-To-Draw books when I was little. When I got older, I stopped using those books and started to draw by looking at photos or objects. But I still look at those books every now and then, because even though I’m better now, they still give helpful tips.
Wow, 6…such a small group, lol.

Guam is pretty awesome =] You’re a very lucky and talented girl, Takes loads of pics for us when you go . Also, who often do you use a planner? Trust me, if you plan everything out that you possibly can in your planner and refer to it religiously, it will save your personal life.

Hahahaha, yah =] Well I hate failing, it sucks lolol
