I Love…

Georgina‘s blog celebrated it’s birthday a few weeks ago, and, unfortunately, those were my school project days, and I was to busy too even notice it. I wasn’t able to congratulate her or anything (by the way, congratulations on Heartdrops’ third birthday, Georgina, if you’re reading this!), and, by extension, also wasn’t able to participate in her “I Love…” project.

Well, I’m participating now.

Basically you just write about something you love.

I’m not actually sure what to write about, because so many things come to mind.

So, this is what I’m going to do. I’m going to do a “Stream of Consciousness” sort of thing and just write as I think. For this purpose, I will not edit this post either (aside from some formatting), so I’ll just have to hope it turns out okay.

Procrastination

I’ve been putting off a lot of things for a while now…including listing them all down.

I thought it would be a good idea to blog about it because, a) knowing that others know about it will make me feel more pressured to actually do these things, and b) I told myself I’d answer all the questions I posted the other day.

Of the 11 questions I posted the other day, this one’s the first:

“Is there anything you’ve been putting off for a while? If yes, what is it, and why are you procrastinating so much?”

I’m sure most people procrastinate, but, honestly, writing it all down made me feel like such a pathetic excuse for a human being, not because of how much I’ve been procrastinating, but because of how much I don’t know because I procrastinate.

You’ll see what I mean when you read the first couple … (read more)

Questions

I got tagged! I usually don’t like tags, but it gave me something to blog about, just when I’ve been hit with a terrible case of writer’s block, so what do I have to complain about?

Tag Rules

1. You must post these rules.
2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves in their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create eleven new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4. You have to choose 11 people to tag and link them on the post
5. Go to their page and tell them you have tagged him/her.
6. No tag backs.
7. No stuff in the tagging section about “you are tagged if you are reading this.” You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

I actually got tagged twice- once from Georgina and once from Liz. That gives me 22 … (read more)

Blog Action Day: Food

It’s blog action day today, so I decided joining again this year would be a good way to kind of forcibly thrust myself back into the whole blogging world because I’ve missed it so, so much.

Last year, blog action day was all about water, and I remember my post being boring and impersonal, so I’ll try to avoid that this year.

This year, blog action day revolves around food.

When I think about food, I think about cheese. I absolutely love cheese; it’s my favorite sandwich component, it’s my favorite type of cake, my favorite type of ice cream – it’s basically just my favorite food in general.

However, I’m not going to be talking about cheese in this blog post. In fact, this blog post has absolutely nothing to do with food that I like. Instead, I’ll be talking about food that I don’t like.

A lot of … (read more)

What I Want for My Birthday

Sorry for disappearing for a while there. 2 weeks ago were exams, and once they were done, I just wanted to rest, not blog.

So rest I did.

Again, I’m sorry. It’s my birthday tomorrow – the least you can do is forgive me for my absence!

Yes – I am turning 16 tomorrow. What else is there to say? It’s not like I’m going to feel any different tomorrow. It’s not like I’m going to suddenly become more mature (or less mature). It’s not like I’m automatically going to grow more wise. It’s just a number – but it’s still a nice excuse for celebration!

Birthdays are kind of awkward though, when you think about it: relatives freaking out about how much you’re growing up, people randomly singing happy birthday to you out of no where and others constantly asking you what you want for your birthday – all … (read more)
