Icons.Clar.me
I spent this morning and early afternoon doing practically nothing, as usual. I was pretty much just listening to music, when I decided that I wanted to make a new site. So, I made a new site. Just like that.
I decided to move my icons to a new site, Icons.Clar.me. It’s powered by Iconish, this script I’ve known about for quite a while. There isn’t much yet, but, when I’m in an icon making mood, I will surely add more!
I know I just moved all my themes to Themes.Clar.me yesterday. I guess I’m just in that certain frame of mind wherein I just feel like designing layouts and messing around with different types of code.
When I’m like that, I can do things pretty quicky. I finished setting up this new website in about 4 hours, give or take. It’s not like it was that easy. Fixing the site, I had to edit a few lines of PHP. When I opened this site, I mentioned that I did try to learn a bit of PHP, so I do have a bit of knowledge on the subject, though that’s still barely anything. I understood enough to make my site look exactly how I wanted it too, which is awesome.
It looks like I’m slowly stripping my website of all content besides the actual blog. I guess it’s eventually going to lead to that, anyway. Who knows – maybe, by tomorrow, my portfolio will have it’s own little site (maybe even the 365 project which I’ve slowly began to neglect).
I love Iconish; it’s the bomb! I used to have an icon archive on a separate domain but I started to dislike the domain name as well as the icons I had – they were all ugly and I needed practice! I still use Iconish on one of my fanlisting collectives though. :)
I took a look at the icons site though and I love the layout and the icons. :D
I wrote my own PHP mail script for uni, and that exposed me to more PHP. I know there’s a lot out there to learn though.
I know that if I didn’t have so many domains I’d be making a lot of sections and subdomains like you are now. :P
I have to agree. I hate when nameserver propagation takes a long time though. It’s awesome when it happens so quickly!
That’s really good! You should be proud of it; I sure think that 250 installs is a lot. Your themes must be pretty popular. :D
Lots of my friends don’t mind the rain at all either, haha. Sometimes I even hate getting wet in the shower, actually. I actually hate getting out, especially on cold days. Once I’m used to the water I don’t want to get out. xD
We weren’t taught frames, but we were taught tables, only to be told about how bad they were. Pff!
