This is how I blog now

I don’t let myself write when I don’t feel like writing. All the posts I’ve just forced myself to write, I ended up regretting anyway.

If the words aren’t just flowing out from my fingertips, if it isn’t that easy, I’m not going to continue writing it, and I’m definitely not going to post it, because then it’s almost guaranteed garbage. Inconsistent, pointless, uninspired garbage.

All my old websites ended because of all the stress I brought upon myself, forcing myself to update. This blog is a hobby, not a job. I’m going to keep it that way.

Statistics no longer matter to me. They no longer define the success of my website. I’m not going to make myself post more just to get more visitors. I do not blog for hits.

I don’t force myself to write. I don’t force my posts to be longer or shorter than they are. I don’t force inspiration. In summary, I write when I want to, not when I have to. I enjoy blogging, and so I blog. That’s all there is to it.

On an slightly unrelated note, please follow my new Tumblog, TalkingTooFast. It’s going to be a pretty much reblog-free blog where I will be posting all my excess thoughts and posts that don’t make it to this blog. Also feel free to follow my original Tumblog, Clar-Reese for all the usual reblogging and such.

I also only blog now when I feel like it, which hasn’t really been all that much this year. Blogging changes like the seasons, and life sometimes steps in and we have to step away from blogging and focus on living.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that …

Heyyy , Love The Site & The Layout :) & I Totally Agree With You Like Whats The Point Of Blogging Every Single Day Just To Have Visitors I Don’t Think Thats The Only Reason People Have Lots Of Visitors Or Get Stressed Right Out Because They Feel The Need To Constsntly Updated And Do New Things To The Site Just To Make People Happy & Its True If Your Just Blogging To Make Your Visitors Happy And Not Proud Of What You’ve Blogged Then It Is A Waste Of A Blog Post Cause Like You Said Its Probably Garbage And No One Will Read It.

The header is so cool and unique! Such a great idea, I love it!

I know what you mean. You should be having fun with your site. If it’s a chore, it’s not something you should be doing. I guess that’s partly why I’ve been MIA this past month. There is so much on my site that I have to fix that I just didn’t even feel like bothering. Plus, unlike you, hits matter to me. Not because I’m shallow or looking to be the biggest thing on the web, but because my site is also a resource site. If I were just blogging, I would have stopped caring a while ago, but I spend a lot of time and effort making all the resources that I do, and if nobody is using them or even looking at them, then what’s the point?

And for all that it counts, I don’t think this blog post was garbage.(:

Also. yay tumblr!

I always enjoy your blogs, but if you aren’t happy with them, that’s all that matters. You’re right – It’s your blog, and you shouldn’t feel like you have to blog for your visitors. Even though my blog is run mostly how I please, I always have that business logic in the back of my head. I guess it’s because my first site was all about providing resources and such, so that’s what I’m used to. Perhaps some day you could find a good balance, but for now, don’t worry about forcing out blogs. :D

I love how the header can have hearts that fits into your names (:! It’s just too unique :)!

Oh bloggers block. :C- it is horrible. Because when you want to blog, you can’t. Therefore, you just cause yourself to blog -___-! But at least you still got something down :)!

You still ended up posting the post somehow :D! No problem with that!

Blogging is a job! I agree with you on that! But it’s a job you should enjoy doing. :P! Unless you actually do get paid to do it. Then it’s some other story :o! Your site is still a success as you still get awesome visitors one way or another :)!

Go Tumblogs! :) I am going to follow you right now :D!

People everywhere have different schedules for school :X! It’s too odd! But I guess everyone’s normal’s is someone else’s odd. XD!

Thank you (: Have a wonderful awesomelicious weekend! :)

I have drafts I have racked up and written. However, I haven’t written a blog post like I used to recently because of all of the stress. I should try what you do – blogging only when you feel like it. After all, it is my blog, and I get to decide how I wish to run it, right? As do you with yours!

I understand – I am questioning my “blog friend” relationships with various people I have been commenting back and forth with for so long. Like, I kind of have this urge to just … start over on my blogroll, you know? Probably sounds lame. But I actually want just a few close blog friends. I feel like all I am is another hit on their hit counter.

It’s quite relieving to read your fourth paragraph, honestly. ♥
