Batty
It’s been close to a month since I’d last posted something here, and I apologize for that. I wasn’t even that busy. I just suddenly didn’t feel like writing. I suddenly had no motivation. I didn’t even get to blog about anything on my birthday.
I did manage to design a new layout, despite my lack of inspiration. Unlike with my other layouts, I’ve managed to stop myself from using Georgia as a font. This is also my first layout ever to use my own illustrations. I’m not very good at drawing, so I know they aren’t much, but I’m still proud of myself, nonetheless.
I don’t think I did very well with this part, but the drawing in the header are supposed to be spelling “CLAR” (with a tiny “.ME” in the right corner). I got the idea from an art project wherein we were supposed to spell a word with objects, people, animals, etc.
If you hover over certain parts in the header, they’ll light up, since they’re links. I haven’t sliced an image in a while, and I don’t think I’ve ever done it properly. At least this time it worked.
I decided to call this layout “Batty” because of, well, the bats. As I’ve said countless times before, I’m not good with names.
All resources used in this layout were made by me, aside from the fonts, of course, which are Tahoma and Yanone Kaffeezsatz.
It took me about 3 days to finish designing and coding this layout. Last Friday, I finished the design. Yesterday, being extremely fickle, I made a lot of changes to design, but still managed to finish coding the HTML and CSS of it. Today, I coded it for WordPress.
I’m apologize for how badly this post was written. I know it’s kind of all over the place. I guess I just don’t feel like writing right now.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!
I love this layout. It’s so cute and creative. The yellow lines in the comment box are a bit blinding, though.
The way you put the navigation links in the header is really creative. My favorite part is the scyth. XD
