A Successful Move

It took me 7 and a half hours of frustration and annoyance, but I was finally able to finish the move to my new host. I’m not really sure what I did wrong the first 5 or 6 times, but I think I was just being lazy since I did this before and thought it wouldn’t be that complicated. Majority of my day was dedicated to my good friends, phpMyAdmin, cPanel and FileZilla. They can be such a pain to work with, but they’re awesome. Once I actually took the time to follow a tutorial step-by-step, I was able to get my site going without any errors, from what I’ve seen. If I missed anything, please tell me, and I’ll try to fix it.

While I’m on the subject of site updates and moving files, I’d like to mention that I’ll be putting the themes I made in a separate subdomain sometime soon. Ever since I started submitting themes to Tumblr, more people have been coming to this site, looking for themes, not seeing any and leaving at once. I don’t like confusion, and I don’t like people leaving my website within 5 seconds of visiting it, so this was an easy decision to make. I’ve actually already designed and coded the layout (not for WordPress yet, though).

I’ve also noticed how much I’ve been bolding and italicizing text in my blog posts (which I did before to “separate” the paragraphs before I realized that I should’ve just fixed it in the CSS) and found it annoying, so I won’t be doing that as often anymore, if you haven’t already noticed.

Now that I’m done moving my site, I just need to code the themes layout for WordPress, set up the themes site, move the themes to the site, think of something that isn’t site-related to blog about and, eventually, go back to school.

Thanks Clar. :) All dark layouts needs that pizazz to it or it would just be boring lol.
What kind of phone did you get?
I know how you feel, i get that nervous feeling too. It feels like something horrible will happen on the first day of school lol.

Waiting for school – that is such a funny phrase to be honest! I am glad the server move went well. :) I always find them nerve wracking because I am afraid of losing my files. The last time I had a server change was a few months ago and my host did all the moving. It was okay but I hated the nameserver propagation and how long it took.

Sometimes I look at my visitors for my website and I see a lot of people coming and leaving the page a few minutes or even just a minute after landing. It’s a bit disappointing; I wish I knew what was going on in their heads. :P

Good luck with that though; you have made a fair few Tumblr themes and I hope they are becoming really popular. :D

I am not really a rain person either. I am always too busy trying not to get wet so I don’t know how I’d even manage TRYING to sing. :P

Agh, that can be terrible when your mouth is shaking. The worst for me was playing guitar and my leg shaking, since my guitar balances on my leg…!

I have to do my presentation thing today… well it’s 2am, might as well say “today”. I haven’t really prepared at all but it’s in the evening so I’m sure I’ll be okay…

We had to make a website with over ten pages, and that was really annoying. :( I didn’t like it at all. We were taught not to use iframes but to use divs right from the off, and my tutor mentioned her hate for Internet Explorer too.

When people just sit there and stare at me, that gets really distracting. I don’t mind people glancing but totally watching me… D:

Ohh lol, i cannot see one of your dark layouts lol.

I goggled up your phone and it looks pretty good. :D It slides up and down. :D I don’t like touch screen phones either but iPhone is just awesome lol. I only want it for the internet, games, apps, and ipod. That’s mainly it lol.

That does make sense. It’s like you were paying for extra space that you never used.

I’m the youngest. My sis and I share a lot of stuff lol.

I use this color scheme a lot. Not always together but always there. I think i have something about these colors. I just love them. :D

Just imagine being able to do whatever you want on your iPhone in school, instead of looking for a freaking computer lol. None of my hosting offers unlimited, it says i’m not “authorized to do that” weird right? For paid, don’t have some with less space and cheap price?
