A New Addiction
It’s been the longest time since I’ve last posted, and I apologize for that. I’ve just been preoccupied with so many other things:
- Laptop problems – My mom got a new laptop last December. It was a Mac, which is actually pretty fun to play with, admittedly, though personally I hate Mac O.S. Maybe I’m just not used to it yet. Anyway, because of this, her old laptop (which we had named Tosh) was passed down to me, which was awesome since I’ve always loved that laptop like my own. Sadly, though, it didn’t last very long. Being a fairly old laptop, this was expected, but I wish it didn’t have to happen so soon. This is kind of pathetic but I cried the moment it started to freak out. It technically still works though it blacks out on you almost immediately after you turn it on, so it’s pretty much dead. I have a new laptop now (Harry), which I am using to type this post. So far, I love it, so at least there’s that.
- Investigatory Project – The past couple of weeks we’ve all just been stressing over the I.P. We’ve all been cramming to finish the written report and dreading the day we’d have to go in front of the class to present and defend the I.P. we didn’t have time to plan. I’m just so glad it’s over. In fact, I think it’s better that they made us finish it so early in the term, so we won’t have to worry about it while we’re also busy with other projects.
Despite all that, I actually had a lot of free time – yet, it still took me 22 days to post a new blog. Why, you might ask. Recently, I’ve been wasting hours and hours of my precious time on an awesome website. It’s because of this website that I have been procrastinating way more than I usually do and way more than I should be allowed to. This is a website I’ve always loved but never quite as much as right now. That website is none other than…
YOUTUBE.COM
I go on Youtube all the time, but I’ve never really taken the time to really browse the website and fully appreciate all the amazing people there. I used to just watch song covers (cause I love listening to song covers), pretty much, aside from the occasional NigaHiga and Smosh (teehee). I didn’t even have a Youtube account until a couple of days ago when I made one – just so I could subscribe to a few channels:
Daily Grace
Daily Grace is my favorite vlog right now. It’s great to watch when you don’t feel like watching anything too heavy or you’re really stressed and just need something light and humorous to take your mind of things. Also, it is constantly updated, so there’s almost always something new on her channel (though it’s not exactly daily – 5 days a week is close enough) How she manages to post a vlog 5 times a week, I don’t know. Just thinking about something to talk about that often is hard enough.
Lesbian Answers
While I am definitely not a lesbian, I still find that Jenna’s advice on Lesbian Answers relevant to all types of relationships. Even more than that, I just love listening to her opinions, even if they have nothing to do with anything in my life. She is funny and serious at all the right times, and I just find her vlog really entertaining.
Ray William Johnson
This Youtube channel isn’t new to me, obviously. I’m sure all of you know who Ray William Johnson is. I mean, his channel is the #2 most subscribed channel of all time, right after nigahiga. Just in case you don’t know him, he’s this basically just this guy that reviews viral videos. I think he’s hilarious. Just saying.
Aside from thes, I also subscribed to the channels of a few musicians, cause, like I said, I love listening to song covers. Among these are DaViglio, HelenaMariaMusic and AJ Rafael. You should go listen to them cause they’re amazing.
I would write a bit more but I’m still getting used to this new laptop. For some reason I keep accidentally hitting the trackpad, making me unintentionally click random things from time to time. It’s making typing this post such a hassle. For now, bye! I just hope this Youtube addiction doesn’t get too bad. I really need to get my priorities straight, honestly.
I’m sorry about the laptop. :( I would cry too, normally. I used to cry so much when my old computer screwed up. Now I don’t really mind since there are things I can do offline to keep me busy, but it’s still annoying when you’ve got a problem you can’t do much about.
I don’t mind Macs. In fact, I do want one! I just think I’m more used to a PC.
YouTube is amazing, but I can’t spend more than a couple of hours on it before I get bored. I’m not really a ‘watcher’ of things. I have subscribed to 20 people and will watch the occasional random videos though. I found Jenna’s channel not too long ago and I love her attitude. :)
I think Ray William Johnson is boring – but I like that he updates you on viral videos and things. I’m subscribed to Smosh and nigahiga too. :D

I have never got sucked into the portal of Youtube. I never go on this website unless someone sends me a link to a video for a specific reason, if someone just says “watch this, it is awesome” I rarely do.
Sorry to hear about your old laptop breaking, but it is always nice getting a new one. New laptops run so fast and are so shiny and lovely. I also dislike MAC OS and the price of MAC products are just so ridiculous, you pay £500 for the brand name.
