The Innocent

Note: Some of the content of this post pretty mature (a first for Clar.me) – just a little warning.

Recently, I’ve come across many articles that simply make me sad. These sorts of things make me start thinking that society is going in the wrong direction; it’s not like death is anything new, and neither is rape, but I still get disappointed when I read about terrible things like these happening, especially to those too young to even understand what’s going on.

Here is an excerpt of an article I read just a while ago:

A woman in northern France has admitted killing her eight newborn babies but said her husband knew nothing about it, the prosecutor in the case has said.

Dominique Cottrez has been placed under investigation over the deaths, which happened between 1989 and 2006. Her husband has been freed without charge.

Mr Cottrez had initially faced … (read more)

Do You Believe In God?

“Just think about it for a while; do you believe in God?”

This is what my social studies teacher asked my class today. Did I believe in God…that question really got me thinking.

It’s not like I haven’t thought about this before. Actually, I’ve thought about this many, many times before.

Religion is a very touchy subject. I know that. Like I said in my last post, I have no intentions of offending anybody. Also, like I said in another recent post, I don’t want to get too personal. Because of these two things, I’ll be keeping this post short and vague.

Let me start by saying that I am Roman Catholic. I was born and raised this way, having Catholic parents and studying in a very Catholic school.

I know my beliefs, but I tend to think a lot. All these thinking leads me to doubting many things, … (read more)

Decline In Music Standards

In this day and age – with all the music videos, photoshoots and T.V. exposure – to be a musician, you need to have much more than an amazing voice; you need to have the looks too. Because of this, appearance ends up being given more importance than it should, and talent becomes less of a priority.

An obvious example for this would be Justin Bieber. He doesn’t have that good a voice, his songs aren’t that hard to sing and he barely has any talent, yet most girls seem to go crazy over him. This may sound harsh, but I honestly don’t see why. I don’t find him that good looking, and I just find his voice so annoying (though that might just be me). I’m sure a lot of people agree with me on this though.

A lot of my friends get shocked when I say that … (read more)

I Want A Job

…not a real job, but just something design-related to do. I just feel like doing design favors for people so suddenly. That being said, if I know you personally, and you need someone to design or code something for you, I’d be more than glad to do it.

I’m hoping to eventually go into freelance design (though that’s going to be a very, very long time from now), and I think the experience could prove to be extremely helpful – for both the practice and the chance to build up my portfolio, even this early. It would mostly be for the practice though, since I’m pretty sure that by then I’d look at my work now with much disappointment, but then, who knows.

I never really think about college or future careers, but, now, I can’t seem to stop. I just discovered an amazing course, dealing with graphic and web … (read more)

Too Much Information?

I remember making this website with the intention of posting things like opinions, ideas, thoughts and a little bit of my life. I’ve been posting almost only about my life, and, while I do like sharing these things with you, I promised myself that I wouldn’t post too much about myself. I’m not exactly sure why, but I’d just rather not.

I won’t be posting as much because of that, but I’ll try to blog about other things. I’ve already been posting less though; school just does that to you.… (read more)
